Baby Hoang Thanh Thao (4 years old) has a craniofacial deformity with cleft number 0. On July 12, doctors will have surgery on her. My situation is very difficult and I need a lot of help from the community.
According to Doctor Hoang Hong (Department of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Hanoi Medical University Hospital), her deformity is very rare and serious, not a common cleft palate.
In addition to facial deformities, Mr. Duong – Thao’s father – also said that when examined at the district hospital, doctors said his child had signs of Down syndrome. “The baby heard the talk but it took a while to understand and follow, quite slowly,” Mr. Duong said.
It is known that Thao has quite special circumstances. Parents are divorced. Her mother left when Thao was just a few months old. Over the past time, Thao’s mother has never come back to visit or send money to support her daughter.
Mr. Duong is currently a single father raising 3 young children. Thao has 2 older brothers, 8 years old and 7 years old.
Mr. Duong’s main job is as a construction worker. But his daughter’s health became increasingly worse, and the single father had to quit work to have time to take his daughter to the hospital.
Tomorrow (July 12), doctors will perform orthopedic surgery on baby Hoang Thanh Thao at Ha Dong General Hospital. Surgery costs are completely free. However, to help Mr. Duong have the conditions to take care of medicine and foster baby Thao’s recovery, we hope everyone will join hands to help him and his four children get through this difficult period. Once his child is treated, he will look for a job again to earn money to support his child.
It is expected that the surgery will be quite complicated, but Mr. Hoang Van Duong (born in 1987), her father, is full of hope and hopes that the doctors will help his daughter improve her face and especially help her speak. .
