This 15 year old boy has done something that not any normal person can do.
Eli had to do a lot of physical training for months for this special trip. For him, with will and determination, anything can be done, even if it is conquering the roof of the world.
After a 10-day journey, Eli became the first teenager with Down syndrome to set foot on Mount Everest – something absolutely extraordinary.
Uncle Justin Reimer, Eli’s father and companion with every step and breath, shared with the press: “Eli was very determined, and he did it. We were quite nervous, but the moment we saw the smile on our son’s face when he reached the top of the mountain… it was great!”
With this action, Eli raised $85,000 for the Elisha foundation. This money will be used for activities to support people with disabilities, especially training independent living skills for children with special disabilities.
The image of Eli on the roof of the world was admired and strongly shared by the community with the message: Nothing is impossible! You can do anything, even if you have a disability, always maintain your will and faith in life!
