Angela Rockwood is known as the ex-wife of actor Dustin Nguyen. Even though they have gone their separate ways, the model and founder of the reality TV show Push Girls still has good words for her ex-husband.
Angela is the eldest in a family of four children (German of Thai descent). Angela and her family lived in the Philippines, Spain and Guam before moving to San Francisco (USA) when she was 22 years old. Possessing a good height and impressive face, the female model born in 1975 began working as a model for designer Michelle of Bisou Bisou not long after.
When her career was flourishing and close to her wedding date with Dustin Nguyen, in September 2001, Angela had a car accident in Los Angeles (USA). Her close friend, actress Thuy Trang, who played the yellow superhero Trini in the American version of Five Superman Brothers , passed away in this accident. Although she was lucky to survive, Angela Rockwood’s life turned to a new page with many pain and difficulties when she had to be confined to a wheelchair.

With extraordinary efforts, Angela Rockwood was able to take charge of her new life and continue with her passion for modeling. She and three other beautiful disabled women created the series Push Girls , a reality television series about the lives of girls in wheelchairs in Hollywood and received positive support from the media.
Outside of work, Angela Rockwood’s personal life is rarely mentioned because she mainly lives in the US and is quite private. After divorcing Dustin Nguyen, Angela Rockwood had a difficult time balancing herself. Still with rare optimism, she actively works to help raise community awareness about disabled people who are “disabled but not disabled”. In the near future, she is also preparing to enter her second marriage with a handsome Hollywood actor.

We had a short conversation with Angela Rockwood to learn more about the strengths of this slim girl:
* After that terrible accident, realizing that your legs could no longer continue performing on the catwalk, did you ever have pessimistic thoughts? How did you overcome that?
– Model Angela Rockwood: I’m grateful to be alive and to be able to live to the fullest no matter what happens. Life is a gift and we are worth it. I felt blessed to be able to continue walking the runway at Los Angeles Fashion Week (Los Angeles, USA) and it was breathtaking. It got me back into modeling.
* Regarding the passing of actress Thuy Trang, your friend who died in an accident at the age of 27, have you ever thought if she had a chance to overcome the tragedy, would she have a great position? in Hollywood now?
– If Thuy Trang were alive today, people who know her would believe in this success because she is an extraordinary person and a talented actress. When she passed away, I didn’t really feel too much grief thinking that she had passed to a place to be with her father. When I knew Trang, Trang often said she missed him very much and I felt they were reunited in heaven.
* She is still working as a wheelchair model. But that source of income must be difficult to cover all living expenses?
– I do a lot of things in this wheelchair, from acting, modeling, speaking… and many other things that bring me income. I have a very simple life and I don’t need much, just to be healthy and happy.

* Why did you think of starting a program like Push Girls ? Can you share about your dreams and ambitions in this reality show?
– I started Push Girls because the show initially had the idea of telling about my life and how I couldn’t sit still in a wheelchair. I often work hard on my life regardless of whether I am paralyzed from the neck down. There’s nothing stopping me. To me, the show is about a single individual living in a difficult situation. I want to remind people that no matter what is going on in life, or what obstacles you are facing, you can overcome it. You can overcome all limitations and live a successful life whether you are in a wheelchair or not.
* Regarding her relationship with Dustin Nguyen, it was rumored that her marriage ended because she had a new love. Is this right?
– No, Dustin has already explained this to his fans. Dustin and I ended our marriage but we didn’t tell the public right away. Then a year or two later we both went our separate ways and we’re still best friends. I’m so happy for his new happiness. He is a good person.
* People admired Dustin for his long-time dedication to taking care of his sister. As an insider, how do you feel?
– I’m happy when fans admire him for taking care of me. He did his best to be by my side and they should still admire him because he is a wonderful person.
* Dustin Nguyen is happy with his two young children. Do you both still maintain a good relationship after all?
– Have. Dustin and I are still great friends. He was a huge part of my life and the transition from a normal woman to a woman in a wheelchair was a difficult time for both of us that I went through with him. . I don’t think we should end this good friendship. He has known me for nearly 20 years of his life and I appreciate that.

* Have you followed his film career in Vietnam? What movie do you like the most?
– I pretty much support what he does as an actor, director, producer. It was his dream since he was young. I haven’t been able to see all of Dustin’s theatrical releases because I live in Los Angeles.
* It is known that she is preparing for a new married life and that he is quite handsome. Can you share more about your man?
– For me, Stefano Profeta is an amazing person, making me think that maybe God sent an angel to me. We met in March 2014 and have been together since then. The first day I met him, I knew I was going to marry Stefano. We planned to have our wedding in Italy, in the exact same church where Stefano’s parents got married 50 years ago. He took me to this church and that’s what I saw in my imagination or dream. It’s breathtaking. For the first time, our efforts focused on saving money and having children.
* If there is something you want to change, what is it?
– If I could change one thing, I hope to erase all ignorance and have more love, compassion, and charity in the world.
