The child has been left with severe breathing difficulties and is unable to close his eyes properly
Bakhtiyer Sindrov’s family are now desperate to raise £20,000 so the tot can have a new face.
He was just a baby when his cradle was set alight by a nearby fireplace leaving him with terrible injuries.
The intense heat from the flames cause his face to “melt”, leaving him with breathing difficulties and unable to close his eyes properly.
His family are hoping to raise funds to travel from his home in Talgar in south-eastern Kazakhstan’s Almaty Region, for plastic surgery in India.
Family friend Olga Ryabeva has joined the family in trying to raise funds to help provide life-changing surgery for the child.
She said: “He was very little, he didn’t manage to lead a life and something terrible happened to him, he got burnt, his face, head, neck, shoulders.
“He was simply melting down alive.”
Bakhtiyer was only a baby at the time of the accident in his small village in Uzbekistan.
While he survived the blaze, he was left with horrific injuries which have made it impossible to live a normal life.
His face is so badly disfigured that he will only leave his house with a big blanket thrown over him.
